Caribbean
From Bequi to The BVI, and everything in between....
From December 2011 we’ll be in the Carribean again, with
our Jeanneau 49 “Kotari.
With our new Hydra-Net sails, and an asymmetric on a bowsprit
we’ve made Kotari a bit more “racey”. So we’ll
be doing all the sailing weeks.
This will be the proposed programme for the early part of 2012.
This may seem a long way ahead, but it’s never too early
to plan a sailing holiday!
• Grenada Sailing Festival – Late Jan. Some of
the most exciting sailing in the Southern Caribbean.
• Tobago Carnival Regatta – Mid Feb. Brave the
breezes off Pigeon Point, one of the Caribbean’s most
photographed beaches.
• St Maarten’s Heineken Regatta – Early March.
The largest racing fleet, and the most powerful parties!
• International Rolex US Virgin Islands – Late
March. The competition and camaraderie are unsurpassed.
• British Virgin Islands Spring Regatta – Late
March/early April. Straight after the US. This means you can
see all of the beautiful Virgin Islands. The entry list for
this 41st running of this event, reads like the who’s
who of Caribbean Sailing
• Antigua Sailing Week – Late April. Some of the
world’s finest yachts can be seen racing during this iconic
sailing week. To say nothing of the social calendar!
• Anguilla Regatta – Early May. Sail boat racing
is this island’s national sport. This event nicely rounds
off the Caribbean season.
