The Channel Islands
These lovely islands are a cruise of their own.
Picturesque
and bustling with things to do and
see, they can be explored
in a 5 day visit, but
a week or more can easily be spent, even
including
a quick visit to the French coast
Alderney is the first port of call, where
a day can
be idled away, or for the more energetic bikes can
be hired to enjoy the spectacular views around the island.
Then comes the exciting dash down the Alderney tidal
race to
Guernsey. Speeds of 15knots over the ground
are the norm!
Guernsey has a charm of it’s own and is the most
‘French’
of the islands.
From there it’s only a mile or two to the tiny islands
of
Herm and Sark. Here there
are quiet anchorages and
peaceful places to enjoy a leisurely
lunch or day. How
often do you get to visit an island with no
cars?!
Jersey is then only a day sail away and here
you’ll find
all the buzz and night life you might want,
as well as great
beaches, walks and quiet places to chill and
relax.
The Channel Islands are a truly special place , and one
you’ll
want to visit time and time again ..
