The West Country

 

This wonderful coastline to the west of the Solent,
is just a day sail away. We can take you cruising
anywhere along the Devon and Cornish coast

 

First stop is usually Weymouth, a picturesque fishing
harbour where you feel time has stood still.

 

Next day takes us round Portland Bill where we
experience another of this country’s great tidal races.
Then some 45 miles across Lyme Bay and we’re in
Dartmouth. A spectacular river entrance giving us
access to the famous South Hams countryside of Devon.

 

Salcombe has a magic of it’s own, followed by the
quiet and beautiful Yealm River.

 

Then on to Fowey with it’s narrow entrance giving entry
to a wide river. Ships of up to 18000 tons are the big
surprise waiting for you here.

 

Falmouth is our next port of call. You could spend several
days here, if you were to explore all the little coves. And
next door is the Jewel in the crown – the Helford river, with
Daphne Du Maurier’s Frenchmans Creek hiding a few miles
upstream
